Synoma is a creative studio that works with materials in imaginative ways to convey a message or story.

Combining the words ‘synthesis of materials’, Synoma brings together a vast experience of working in three dimensions at the architectural scale, with a range of different materials and technologies to give a unique perspective into making.
Synthesis - of - material
Syn - o - ma
At Synoma, speculative works are created where the medium (material) and its assembly (synthesis) are a key part of the message. In each case, a holistically sustainable approach underpins an optimistic and at times, challenging message.

Critical to this is the application of both digital and physical tools, which inform each other through iterative processes.
Receiving the Arts Council’s DYCP Grant in 2021, Synoma operates at the intersection of visual arts, material research, applied design and primary data:
Synoma was founded in 2023 by London-based architect and visual artist Adam Atraktzi. After working internationally at prestigious design, architecture and research practices such as Chora, HASSELL Studio, UCL Bartlett School of Architecture and Zaha Hadid Architects, Synoma was founded as a reflection of, or respite from, the global industrial material processing economy for architecture and design.
