Swarm, 2020
Swarm is a modular, reconfigurable sculpture formed of dozens of a repeating part, like a swarm of insects.
As a swarm, it can reconfigure into fluid shapes giving the group of units the appearance of a single massive object.
Each module was cast using a reusable, modular 3D printed mould
Modules are dry-stacked to form a swarm, which can be dismounted and reconfigured again and again.
Swarm is cast using a proprietary low-carbon concrete. Also, failed prototypes have been crushed and reused as agregates in new castings.
