Childsplay, 2022

An experiment in manual, deformative, scanning of stimulative graphics.

Bold black-and-white images stimulate the development of the optic nerves and encourage young babies cognitive development without over-stimulating them. In their raw form these graphic images, which often take the form of concentric circles, flowers or other primitive shapes, are fundamentally designed to grab attention in the most undeveloped minds.













By warping their image through a digital scanner, Childsplay tested whether alluring their properties could be reignited in adults by increasing the complexity of one parameter - the warp.
